Kids In Charge offers parents the convenience of a range of regular and irregular booking options for our services. These are services for children 3-11 years. Through our unique systems we are able to track bookings for your child and ensure care is available when required.

Our irregular childcare options
Inset Day or Polling Day Cover or Emergency Days –7.40am-6.30pm
For a top up fee (for current day users) or a day rate your children can be taken on an excursion for the day. As a member of Kids in Charge you can ring up the day before to book your child in, saving yourself all the bother of a frantic search for childcare.

Ad hoc – ONE OFF Sessions
As a registered member you are able to use our breakfast club and emergency cover day options. For breakfast club or odd day care you can book online before midnight the day before. For an ad-hoc after school club ring us before mid-day and if there is space available we will collect your child. If an emergency occurs leaving you needing childcare after that , if we can help we will.

Regular Childcare Options
Whether you have regular shift patterns, need child care every day or only a few (minimum 2) days a week Kids In Charge will support you. We offer a variety of finish times and at different rates so you pay only for childcare needed.
Our breakfast clubs are run on school sites from 7:30am to 9am. Hot and cold breakfast options, including fresh fruit are on the menu and children can take part in planned fun activities.
Breakfast club gives children the opportunity to complete homework. They also have the opportunity to play outside before the start of school.
After school Clubs
Our after school clubs are available at on or off school sites and are open up to 6.30pm (extensions are available to be booked via our Administration Team). See your school page for more details.
Fun stimulating play/educational opportunities. Planned and organised programs, along with opportunities to attend additional activities e.g Football training with qualified coaches, cooking clubs, outdoor forest school activities , park visits and being creative . Great place to develop social skills. suitable for ages 3 – 11 years. We can accommodate children at school nursery on most setting.
All these activities are planned by your child’s key worker and tailored for groups of children with the individual child in mind.
Reading sessions are also held each week across all our venues. Children are able to share fiction and non-fiction books while reading to staff and each other.
Each Friday we hold staff supported homework sessions where children can do their homework activities. Children with no homework to do can engage in educational activities such as puzzles or board games.
Children attending our afterschool clubs can walk there if they wish or be driven by our trained drivers in insured and maintained vehicles.
We take pride in organising fun packed Holiday Clubs throughout the year. Our Holiday Clubs are filled with a range of engaging onsite activities and trips around London & Essex which the children find both enjoyable and educational. The aim is to keep your child entertained throughout the school holidays and eager to come back year after year.
We understand you childcare requirements might not change even during school holidays. We are flexible enough to ensure you child still receives excellent care at these times.
Kids In Charge Holiday Clubs are held during half terms and at the end of terms. They run for 4 or 5 weeks during the main part of the summer holidays. We cater for 3 to 11 years-old including children with some special needs.
We are flexible and your children can attend holiday club for the whole time, for a week, ad hoc days, or even half days (with some restrictions).
Our huge range of activities include sports, arts and craft activities, drama, cookery, jewellery making, go-karts, sailing, talent shows, ice skating and horse riding which are held locally.
We provide trips out to adventure parks, museums, bowling, theme parks, beach days , picnics, bike riding, Kidspace, the cinema and other locations –some of which are included in the price.
We also provide your children with healthy food throughout the day, including nourishing breakfasts and healthy daytime snacks, which are provided at 11am and 4pm. The children are encouraged sit to around the table as this helps develop good table manners and conversational skills. For more info see Holiday Club page.
The building is light and modern with an engaging outdoor space for our children to explore. Parents are always welcome in the nursery, especially during your child’s initial settling in period. Each of the key developmental stages have a designated room:
Our Baby room called Mini explorers (0-2yrs) – with a ratio of 3 explorers to 1 adult.
Our Toddler room called Adventurers (2-3yrs) – with a ratio of 4 Adventurers to 1 adult.
The Preschool room called Investigators (4-5) – with a ratio of 8 investigators to 1 adult.
Our uniformed team are fully qualified, DBS checked and experienced practitioners, with a Special Educational Needs Coordinator” (SENCO) in each of the key playrooms. Parents are regularly updated with their child’s progress and developmental expectations. Independence in key areas of potty training, feeding, and communication as well as physical and emotional development is also fully supported by our team.
Healthy Food Choices
At RightStart, mealtimes are designed for all dietary and religious requirements and to promote Independence. For our babies we always continue with their individual feeding routines set at home, providing formula and weaning meals. We are also equipped to be as bespoke as storing your baby’s own breast milk if they are still breastfeeding.

- Opening Days: (50 weeks of the Year) Monday – Friday: 07:45-18:30

- Languages Spoken: (other than English) Bengali; Bangla, French, Gujarati, Lithuanian, Panjabi, Punjabi, Russian.
